City Moves To Crack Down On Outdated Yard Sale Signs

yard-sale-sign1In an effort to maintain clean neighborhoods, the City of Santa Clarita would like to encourage residents to remove outdated yard sale signs.

“Excessive signs can cause unwanted blight in our community.  To help maintain a high aesthetic value in our neighborhoods, the City is asking community members to help remove outdated garage and yard sale signs,” commented Mayor Laurie Ender.

According to the City’s municipal code, residents are permitted to have no more than three garage or yard sales in any calendar year and each garage or yard sale cannot exceed three consecutive days.  Signage promoting the sales is prohibited along any highway or other public right-of-way within the City.
