khts_citymatters_scvlogoProgram aims to provide tax savings to local businesses.

The City of Santa Clarita will host an Enterprise Zone Breakfast Seminar on Wednesday, February 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Santa Clarita City Hall’s first floor Council Chambers. The free workshop will include a complimentary continental breakfast and presentation by an Encore Tax Consulting representative providing local business with information on how to reduce their State income taxes.

“Santa Clarita businesses have already collectively realized a potential savings of more than $40 million through the Enterprise Zone program,” said Mayor Laurene Weste. “The City’s Breakfast Seminar is designed to help additional local businesses find out what they can do to achieve similar savings on their state income taxes.”

The Enterprise Zone Breakfast Seminar will show local businesses how to benefit from the Santa Clarita Enterprise Zone program on their 2009 State income taxes and where to go for additional information. Businesses located in the Zone may be able to reduce their State income taxes by up to 50% or more. Businesses located in the City of Santa Clarita, or looking to relocate into the City of Santa Clarita, are invited to attend.

Santa Clarita City Hall is located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard. For more information on the Enterprise Zone Breakfast Seminar or to RSVP, visit www.SCEnterpriseZone.com or call the City at (661) 286-4065.
