City Sponsors Website To Help Local Non-Profits

khts_citymatters_scvlogoWith the holidays fast-approaching, the Santa Clarita City Council is seeking to assist local non-profit agencies by sponsoring “Help for the Holidays,” a new, online website aimed at connecting generous Santa Clarita Valley residents and the business community, with local non-profit agencies to easily facilitate holiday donations.

Anyone wishing to make donations can visit santa-clarita.com and simply click the red icon “Help for the Holidays.”  There they will find local non-profit agencies, contact information for these agencies, and a list of their most pressing holiday needs.  Visitors can make choices for their holiday donations and contact the organizations directly to provide a special holiday gift.

“Help for the Holidays is an easy to access, one-stop-shop for people to assist our local non-profit organizations,” said Mayor Laurene Weste. “It is during this time of year when non-profits need the most assistance.”

Non-profit organizations interested in adding their organization can fill out an eService Request, which is accessible from the City’s website, or add their information to the list of non-profits at www.santa-clarita.com/helpfortheholidays.
