City Survey Seeks To Learn How Residents Want To Weigh In

If you’ve ever wanted to tell the City of Santa Clarita your thoughts on issues, projects, programs or services but didn’t know how to do it, they are offering a new way for you to express your opinions. The City is asking community members to provide feedback in a quick 10 question survey.

The City wants to understand how residents want to be communicated with, when, where and on what types of issues. Results from the citizen engagement survey will be analyzed and used in the creation of a new citizen engagement plan to be prepared later this year, in collaboration with the community.

“The survey is consistent with the City’s philosophy of valuing an open and non-bureaucratic government and keeping the public informed of what we do. Being transparent and helping our community be more involved is a high priority,” said Mayor Bob Kellar. “The result from this survey will greatly assist us as we move forward with a new and robust citizen engagement plan for our City.”

As part of the research phase of the plan, the City is looking for input from Santa Clarita Valley residents, local business owners, elected or appointed officials, local non-profit organization affiliates, community organizations, faith-based, hobby and sporting groups.
