“The City of Santa Clarita is committed to ongoing redevelopment efforts in the Newhall area,” commented Mayor Marsha McLean. “The Lyons Corridor Plan is the first in a series of steps designed to improve community aesthetics, guide new growth and influence the design of new buildings over the next year.”
The Lyons Corridor Plan involves revitalization efforts to storefronts and public spaces between Interstate 5 Freeway and Newhall Avenue. The 102-acre plan focuses on developing high quality commercial properties that maximize spaces for public use and is consistent with the City’s new General Plan.
City planners will share results from the last public outreach meeting, engage attendees in an interactive question and answer session and request feedback on how the Lyons Corridor Plan should move forward.
