City To Honor The Families Of Gold Star Soldiers

The Santa Clarita City Council will honor the families of Gold Star Soldiers on Wednesday, December 12 from 6 to 8p.m. at the Lobby of City Hall.

“The holidays are a nice time of year to give thanks and pay tribute to those who have given so much for our country and freedom.” said Mayor Pro Tem Bob Kellar. “I encourage residents to join the City of Santa Clarita as we honor our local soldiers and their families,”

The open house will pay tribute to Santa Clarita Gold Star families, who are commemorated on a holiday tree in the lobby of City Hall, which was part of the annual Festival of Trees fundraising event for the Boys & Girls Club of the Santa Clarita Valley.

Kellar will make comments at 6:45 p.m. and light refreshments will be served.

The Gold Star Tree is sponsored by Kellar and the City of Santa Clarita, Larry Rasmussen, the Auto Dealers Association, and Gary Condie.
