“The City is honored that our Aquatics Center was chosen to host such a fierce competition,” said Mayor Marsha McLean.
The Olympic sport known as “water ballet,” features synchronized swimmers who must have the grace of a ballerina, the strength and flexibility of a gymnast, the lungs of a pearl diver, and the endurance and stamina of a long distance runner.
The City’s Aquatic Center is located at 20850 Centre Pointe Parkway. For more information on the U.S. Synchronized Swimming event, contact Lance O’Keefe, the City’s Aquatics Supervisor at (661) 250-3767 or visit Los Angeles Synchronized Swimming lasynchro.org.
