City To Promote Green-Friendly At Home And Garden Show

khts_citymatters_scvlogoThis year, the City of Santa Clarita brings a different shade of green to the KHTS AM 1220 Home and Garden Show with the first-ever “green-friendly” booth. The event returns to the Valencia Hyatt on Saturday, March 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday March 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“The City of Santa Clarita is proud to promote eco-friendly living practices throughout the community,” commented Mayor Marsha McLean. “The Home and Garden Show is an opportunity to educated residents about how to go “green” in their everyday lives through first-hand access to field specialists.”

The City’s green-friendly booth will feature information on a variety of green tips that can help save Santa Clarita community members money at home and at work. Stop by the booth to receive information on recycling and other sustainable programs, find out about upcoming green events like Earth Arbor Day, and take a hands-on tour of the City’s green website, which has been viewed by users in 63 countries.

General admission tickets are available at the door for $5.00. Discount coupons are available online and at locations throughout Santa Clarita. Children under 12, first responders and active military with identification will be admitted free of charge.

The Valencia Hyatt is located at 24500 Town Center Drive on the corner of Town Center Drive and McBean Parkway.
