City To Sponsor Job Fair Friday At COC WorkSource Office

WorkSource_logoThe Santa Clarita WorkSource Center will host a free Job Fair on Friday, August 5 from 10 a.m. to noon at their office in the University Center at College of the Canyons.

The job fair allows applicants and local businesses the opportunity to interact in a centralized location and professional environment. Confirmed employers to date include the Art Institute of California, Allied Barton Security, Securitas Security Services USA, Inc., Select Staffing, Six Flags, and Video Symphony.

“Job fairs are excellent opportunities to explore new employment options,” said Mayor Marsha McLean.  “They are also a great way to get in front of a potential employer, promote your skills and experience, and make a positive connection that may lead to your next career.”

Jobseekers are encouraged to dress to impress, have multiple copies of their resume available, and be prepared for on-site interviews.

The Santa Clarita WorkSource Center is located in the College of the Canyons University Center at 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road, Suite 250. Employers looking to participate in the Job Fair are asked to contact the WorkSource Center at (661) 799-WORK (9675) to confirm participation as space is limited.

The WorkSource Center offers free services to connect job seekers and employers, by providing clients with the necessary tools and training opportunities to search and prepare for employment opportunities.  The WorkSource Center regularly collaborates with local businesses, offering a variety of services from pre-screening candidates to available interview facilities and access to Enterprise Zone eligible employees.
