City To Teach Saving Energy, Saving Money

The City of Santa Clarita, in affiliation with the Community Energy Partnership, is hosting a FREE two hour workshop to help businesses save energy and money!

The Small Business Energy Workshop will be hosted at the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, January 25, 2007, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce is located at 28460 Avenue Stanford, Suite 100.

“Our City would like to encourage everyone to attend the workshop and learn about programs offered by Southern California Edison and The Gas Company to provide businesses with the resources and tools needed to avoid high energy bills this winter and throughout the year,” commented Mayor Marsha McLean.

Some participants will be eligible to receive an energy saving compact fluorescent light bulb and be eligible for $500 worth of energy tune-ups for a home or small business in the City free of charge. Speakers, lunch and giveaways will be provided. The public is welcome to attend.

The Partnership is a non profit energy efficiency program that includes the City of Santa Clarita, Southern California Edison, The Gas Company and The Energy Coalition.

The goal of the Partnership is to foster smart energy management and to educate communities about sustainable energy efficiency in Southern California.
