City Urges Community To Celebrate MLK

At the January 9th City Council meeting, the council passed a proclamation urging all members of the community to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

This year it falls on Monday, January 15th.

Many people in Santa Clarita remember Martin Luther King Day not only for the great man whose life we celebrate, but also because the 1994 earthquake happened on that day.

We can only speculate how many more people would have been away from their homes at the time of the quake, were it not for them having the day off.

KHTS will be observing this holiday, and therefore our offices will be closed. We will re-open again on Tuesday, January 16th.

But all the great music you love to hear will be playing all day Monday, so tune in to AM 1220!
