City Receives Three Awards.
The City of Santa Clarita received three awards as part of the California Association for Public Information Officer’s (CAPIO) annual Excellence in Communications Awards Ceremony last month at the Tenaya Lodge in Yosemite, California.
The Film Santa Clarita spring and fall 2006 Newsletters was awarded second place in the “Community or Special Audience Newsletter” category and the City’s employee newsletter, City Call, received an honorable mention.
Additionally, the City’s 2006 DUI Awareness Campaign was awarded second place in the “Public Safety Program or Campaign” category. This campaign featured a multi-media approach to the ills of drinking and driving with the theme “What is the cost of a drink”.
Forty four finalists in 11 categories received honors from a total of 126 entries.
