Van Hook named Chancellor by Board of Trustees.

Dr. Dianne Van Hook can add another title to her name – that of Chancellor, Santa Clarita Community College District and President, College of the Canyons.

The title was bestowed by the college’s Board of Trustees during their regular meeting Wednesday night, which was held in conjunction with the College of the Canyons Foundation Board. Van Hook has been leading the college for the last 20 years, as Superintendent-President of College of the Canyons. During that time, the college has seen incredible growth at the college and in the Santa Clarita Valley as a whole. 

The Board praised Van Hook particularly for her many accomplishments over the last year, which included overseeing the major tasks of developing and opening a new campus on Sierra Highway in Canyon Country and overseeing the construction and opening of several new buildings on the Valencia campus.
