College Financial Aid Market Still Humming Despite Larger Economic Condition

As the economic downturn continues to sweep the nation, affecting nearly everyone in sight, leading College Planner Brian Safdari is touting the idea that now is the perfect time to receive unprecedented amounts of financial aid from federal, state and college aid resources.

Many Santa Clarita Valley families assume that because the credit markets are now frozen that the financial aid markets must be in the same condition. Safdari says that’s not true.
“The financial aid markets represent an 80 billion dollar industry where the majority of funds available to families are insulated from economic fluctuations by U.S Congress, state legislatures and colleges all around the nation.”

Safdari went on to say that families can even qualify for once considered impossible amounts of financial aid by understanding which programs and institutions to apply to, and how to best present their current employment situations to prospect colleges.

Safdari plans to spread the word through a series of free workshops:
