One talented winner will get his or her big break Labor Day weekend at the FAME National Talent Search Finals, set for 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5 at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
The finals are a culmination of a multi-city competition, held at other Six Flags parks throughout the summer and one winner from MySpace. Finalists from the earlier Six Flags competitions include singers, dancers, musicians and performers all seeking their ticket to Hollywood and a life-changing grand prize.
The grand prize winner will receive a $5,000 cash prize, a photo spread in OK! Magazine, a five-day, four-night trip to Hollywood to meet with a top talent agent and studio executive and inclusion of the winning live performance in the FAME DVD.
All finalists will compete in front of a live audience and a panel of celebrity judges. Saturday’s finals also include a special performance by V-Factory, featuring FAME’s Asher Book who plays “Marco,” a charismatic singer pursuing his dream.
Six Flags and MGM have partnered for the release of FAME, a re-invention of the original Oscar-winning film that follows a talented group of dancers, singers, actors and artists over four years at the New York City High School of Performing Arts.
The FAME National Talent Search finals competition is free with paid park admission and will take place in the Golden Bear Theater. For more information and a complete schedule of events, visit www.sixflags.com
