Community Input Sought In Hart Superintendent Search

khts_schools_chalkboardCommunity members who would like to offer their input on the selection of a new superintendent for the Wm. S. Hart Union High School District are invited to attend one of two forums scheduled next week by the search firm which has been hired to find a replacement for retiring Superintendent Jaime Castellanos.

The community forums will be held 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, in the library at Golden Valley High School in Canyon Country, and 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, in the library at Rancho Pico Junior High School in Stevenson Ranch.

Input gathered at the two community forums, as well as input provided by district staff members at a series of internal meetings, will be used to develop a profile for the new superintendent as the search firm goes through the process to present highly qualified candidates to the District Governing Board for final selection.

The forums will be moderated by RJ Gatti Associates, the search firm which also was responsible for bringing Castellanos to the Hart District in 2005. The District hopes to name a new superintendent this spring, to take office when Castellanos retires June 30.
