The 2018 Santa Clarita GLORY Concert is the fifth year the GLORY concert series has come through to Santa Clarita, according to Barry McKeever, the event director for the concert.
“We wanted to do something and have an event that brought all believers in Santa Clarita and outlying areas together to be able to worship God and have something that is unifying, something where everyone comes together, and music is the best way to do that,” McKeever said.
The event kicked off with worship from Higher Vision Church, followed by a performance from The Band Lexington.
After a martial arts demonstration from Gold Medal Martial Arts, Tauren Wells took the stage.
Following Wells’ performance, Colton Dixon performed several of his hit songs, including a video dedicated to a fan who passed away, as well as a duet with his wife.
Britt Nicole was next, and she brought her two children up with her on stage to help her perform one of her hit songs.
Finally, Jeremy Camp, who has 32 #1 Christian hit-singles under his belt, closed out the show with a powerfully emotional performance.
The main goal of the entire event though was to bring the Santa Clarita Christian community together for a night of fun and fellowship, according to McKeever.
“We’ve got some pretty incredible talent this year,” McKeever said. “And more importantly we have all the churches that are coming together and really just enjoying a great day together.”
