Officials with the SCV Pregnancy Center estimate that approximately 665 people came out in support of the event.

“We are walking to come alongside the men and women facing unplanned pregnancy decisions,” said Angela Bennett, president and CEO of the center.

Participants began their walk at Crossroads and continued up Rye Canyon Road towards the new location for the SCV Pregnancy Center, located about one block away.

The event also featured a petting zoo and face painting stations for younger children, as the event was intended to be for all ages.

Various pastors from local churches were present at the event, as well as Congressman Steve Knight, R-Palmdale.

The SCV Pregnancy Center is dedicated to providing relevant medical services in a professional, caring atmosphere to anyone facing unplanned pregnancy and sexual health decisions, according to their website.
