Nearly 300 Canyon Country residents were left without power Saturday night after a fatal traffic collision brought down several power lines in the area.

Power is expected to be restored to the 286 people affected by 4 a.m. Sunday morning.
The outage was caused when at least one car involved in a fatal three-car accident at the intersection of Sierra Highway and Golden Valley Road crashed into a power line, downing it.

The intersection is closed in all directions until further notice while officials investigated the crash and began repair work on the power lines.
