“The youth of America are the future and the Canyon Theatre Guild believes in investing in our youth,” said TimBen Boydston, executive artistic director of the Canyon Theatre Guild. “It is an honor to help these bright young people in their continuing education.”

Below are this year’s awardees:

Riley Milton received the Mike Levine Scholarship

Rachel Kugler received the Darryl Roberts Scholarship

Shannon Corbett received the Greg and Patti Finley Scholarship

Jasmine Gawra received the Douglas and Mercy Holiday Scholarship

Every year, the theatre awards $500 through a variety of different scholarships to graduating seniors in the Santa Clarita Valley.

The Canyon Theatre Guild is a nonprofit arts organization which produces ten, full-scale productions a year, according to the theatre.

It also produces a wide variety of youth after school, homeschool and summer workshops.

“There is no better way to instill confidence and team building skills than putting them in a workshop where they work with their peers to put on a show,” said Jennifer Teague, director of youth workshops.
