Peter Sayamoungkhoune, 32, had just finished a supervised visit at the DCFS office on Avenue Stanford in Valencia last week, when he allegedly confronted the monitor who was there to supervise the visit. Sayamoungkhoune reportedly threatened the DCFS staff, according to the victim, who then reported the incident to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. The monitor apparently had just finished a supervised visit with Sayamoungkhoune and his two daughters. The incident did not take place in front of the children, according to officials. Deputies investigated the report and then arrested Sayamoungkhoune for criminal threats. He’s currently being held in the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Deputies arrested a man Saturday for assault with a deadly weapon after a domestic dispute in Castaic.

Around 5 p.m., the man allegedly walked into a residence on Elk Ridge Road where a woman he previously had a relationship with lived that lead to a verbal altercation.

“The suspect then discharged the weapon into the air inside the residence,” according to Sgt. Peter Bringas of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

The suspect then went into the street and fired the gun into the air again, said Sgt. Bringas.

The gun was taken from the suspect by individuals living at the Elk Ridge Road home.

The suspect was arrested by officers and there were no injuries due to the incident and charged with assault with a deadly weapon, according to Sheriff’s officials

Officials are still investigating if drugs or alcohol were involved.
