On May 6, over 40 restaurants and caterers were present for the 2018 Taste of the Town event, serving a variety of food, wine, and beer to those in attendance.
“We couldn’t be happier with the outcome of the 2018 Taste of the Town,” said Cheryl Jones, vice president of marketing and community outreach for the Child & Family Center. “Hundreds came out in support.”
The event, which had previously been voted Best Charity Event in Santa Clarita, brought together a variety of food, drinks, and auctions for guests to partake in.
The event also featured live entertainment from the band Mark LeVang and Friends, who had recently returned from a World Tour with Neil Diamond. The band has previously sung for dignitaries and high society events across the globe, and has recorded for blockbuster movie scores including “Jurassic World,” 2016 Oscar Winner “Inside Out,” “Tomorrowland” and “Zootopia.”
The Taste of the Town event raises about $150,000 on average for the Child & Family Center, according to officials.
“Co-Chairs Ginger LeVang and Marcy James and their committee did an outstanding job, and the months of planning contributed to the success of the event,” said Jones. “We are so grateful to the community for their support to Child & Family Center year after year.”
