“The group is an eight week, supportive and psychoeducational group designed to help people deal with the unwanted feelings that have arisen as a result of the recent Las Vegas shooting,” according to a Child & Family Center news release.

The group’s objectives, according to the Center’s news release, are to:

  • Provide members with a safe place to share their feelings-

  • Encourage healthy processing of the event
  • Teach a variety of coping skills (e.g., relaxation, cognitive restructuring, and trauma narrative)
