Late Friday morning, station officials announced that they had been made aware of a threat against a student at Golden Valley by another student.

In the alleged threat, made through an Instagram direct message, a student says about another student that he “will bring an AK-47” to “kill him.”

The first message concludes by saying, “Looks like there might another school shooting. Can’t wait to kill that f***er.”

Parents called law enforcement officials after they saw a screenshot of the threat on a local Santa Clarita Facebook group.

Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station officials have confirmed that the school is not on lockdown. But according to students at Golden Valley, campus security is checking student ID’s as they enter the campus to ensure student safety.
