The carnival is open to age groups from 3 years old and up. Kids, teens, and adults are all invited to be a part of this event in an effort to raise funds for the charity.

The art carnival is set to help raise money to send less privileged kids to school this year, according to CRY officials.

“We want to invite everyone to our carnival and request to buy the tickets and help us raise enough funds so that maximum number of kids can get their basic rights to education,” said Varnica Singh, LA Action Center Lead for CRY America. “It is a great platform to show your creativity and give back to the community at the same time.”

Activities scheduled for the event include a painting competition, yoga, Zumba and a martial arts session for the attendees.

Most of the events are free to the public, with only the painting competition requiring a ticket purchase to participate. Tickets are $15 for children 14 and under, and $20 for ages 15 and up. Tickets can be bought here.

The event is also set to feature local vendors, offering several opportunities for attendees to shop and get ready to go back to school, according to event officials. Other items set to be featured include a silent auction, henna tattoos, crochet, cookie decorations, and food trucks like ‘Bollywood Bites’ and ‘Ben and Jerry’s.’

The Arts and Movement Carnival is scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 12, at the Ekata Training Center in Valencia.
