There are many ways people can participate in the fundraiser, including becoming a sponsor of the event or entering to become a cook-off contestant.

“We have multiple ways to get involved,” said Chili Cook-Off Co-Chair Nicole Stinson. “We have the opportunity to be a chili cooker where you can enter your recipe and cook and compete for first, second and third place and win peoples and judge’s choice.”

Those who wish to help raise funds but do not have a chili recipe can contribute simply by attending the event. General admission tickets to the event are $25 and VIP Experience tickets are $65.

“All the money that we raise from sponsorships and ticket sales, all the money will go to the Wish Foundation,” Stinson said.“They fund the middle schools and high schools in the Hart School District and this year the money will go towards improving their libraries.”

The Wish Education Foundation aims at helping students in the Hart School District by funding programs and initiatives not paid for by tax dollars.

Stinson urges residents to buy tickets as soon as possible, as spots are limited, especially the VIP tickets, which will likely sell out before the event.

Tickets can be purchased at the Chili Cook-Off website along with applications to become a contestant or sponsor.

The event is expected to take place on Tuesday, March 20 at 6 p.m. at Wolf Creek Brewery, located at, 25108 Rye Canyon Loop.

The cook-off will feature a live band and DJ providing music, both a live and silent auction and a kids corner featuring an arts and crafts station where kids can enjoy making crafts to take home.

“This is a great charity event for the community to come and network after work and unlike other events, you can bring your kids. You don’t have to find a babysitter,” said Stinson. “That’s what makes us unique from other charity events in town, it’s really for the whole family.
