Katie Hill previously served as Executive Director for People Assisting the Homeless, a coalition of agencies focused on assisting the homeless in Santa Clarita. In addition to her new responsibilities on the board of directors, Hill is also a Democratic congressional candidate for the 25th District.

Jeff Meyer, co-owner of a financial planning firm and advisor for Thrivent Financial, plans to apply his extensive nonprofit experience to expanding financial literacy programs.

Steven Spiker is an entertainment industry veteran of 38 years who wants to spend his retirement years helping families in his community.

Mike Stevenson is a pastor at Santa Clarita Seventh-Day Adventist Church and a longtime advocate for Family Promise.

“This is an exceptional group of compassionate people who have stepped up to provide the resources and passion needed to tackle the heartbreaking issue of family homelessness in our community,” said Laurie Ender, president of Family Promise. “I’m so proud to be a part of this team.”

Family Promise is known for their annual box city event, in which members of the community build temporary shelters out of cardboard boxes and spend the night at the park in order to raise funds and awareness about homelessness.
