“We had Cloverton at NorthPark in 2015 and they put on a great and meaningful show, with hundreds in attendance,” said Stephen Petree, NorthPark Church’s worship leader. “Cloverton has just released their second full length album, “Bloom,” and NorthPark is fortunate to be a stop on (the band’s) west coast tour.”

The concert is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. outside of NorthPark Church and concert goers are urged to bring camping chairs, blankets and jackets, according to event organizers. However, food trucks will be available for those early arrivers beginning at 5 p.m.

“NorthPark has a long time tradition of having a ‘Night of Thanks’ every November (and) the evening on November 11th will include time giving thanks, followed by Cloverton’s concert,” said Dr. Robert Cavin, lead teaching pastor at NorthPark Church. “We welcome the Santa Clarita community to join us for this family friendly event.”

Led by lead singer Lance Stafford, Cloverton released their album “Bloom” just last month, and features a collection of songs with background instrumentals. This is the band’s second full length album, in addition to their four other EPs, and their work has been compared to Coldplay and Third Day, according to NorthPark officials.

Without the use of a record label, Cloverton funded “Bloom” through a kickstarter campaign.

Breaking out in the Christian Rock scene back in 2011 after winning TobyMac and Camp Electric’s 2011 “Rock the Camp” music contest, the band has since released the No. 1 most downloaded song in the history of KLove radio; reached the No. 1 slot on iTunes for their Christian rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”; and been featured on CNN, according to event organizers.

“We are either moving toward or away from the person God has specifically created each of us to be,” said Stafford. “Our hope is that the music we create can accompany others as they walk out that journey.”
