The Placerita Canyon Nature Center is hosting their annual Holiday Craft Fair from this weekend at their Newhall campus.

Placerita Canyon Nature Center officials are inviting Santa Clarita kids and their families to come make seasonal crafts at their annual fundraiser Holiday Craft Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Walking between the various tables and craft-making stations setup during the annual Holiday Craft Fair, those in attendance are able to participate in decorating wreaths, centerpieces, candles and ornaments using the natural resources available at the Placerita Canyon Nature Center, according to officials.

“Make your own wreath, yule log, or other craft as you desire using a large assortment of fresh-cut greenery, pine cones and other beautiful natural treasures,” said a Nature Center news release. “Children’s crafts will also be available.”
The Placerita Canyon Nature Center Holiday Craft Fair is a fundraising event and there is a charge for some of the activities, according to officials. Most crafts cost anywhere between $2 and $12, and event organizers have asked for residents to only bring cash and checks as they do not accept credit or debit cards.
“For those with allergy concerns, please note that peanut butter is used on some craft items,” said the news release.

In addition to the artistic activities, children were also given the opportunity to visit with Santa Claus and his helpers.
