The celebration is scheduled to take place in the Hospital chapel adjacent to the lobby, and is scheduled to begin at noon on Dec. 12.

According to tradition, a vision of a young woman appeared Dec. 9, 1531, in the Mexican desert to Juan Diego. The woman asked the peasant to build a church on the hill where she stood.

Diego relayed the request to the local bishop who asked for proof. Diego returned to the hill and the vision reappeared, directing him to takes roses from a nearby bush to the bishop. When he visited the bishop and opened his cloak to display the roses, an image of the lady in the vision appeared.
