Bryant, Deborah, James, Jason and Shannon Crenshaw competed on two episodes of the show, which are set to air as reruns on Thursday, July 19 and Friday, July 20.
In order to be selected as contestants, the Crenshaw family had to submit a letter to showrunners explaining who they are as a family and why they wanted to be on the show, along with an audition tape.
“It was the funnest thing I’ve ever done,” said Jason. “It was better than any board game or family game night.”
“Family Feud” is a game show on television where families compete with other families to guess the most popular responses to survey questions, answered by the general public, in order to win cash prizes.
The show is hosted by Steve Harvey, who coincidentally went to high school with Deborah Crenshaw: Glenville High School in Cleveland, Ohio.
“I think that Steve Harvey does an excellent job hosting the show,” said Deborah. “He’s personable off-screen and on.”
Deborah and Jason both described their time on the show as enjoyable and said competing gave them an “adrenaline rush.”
When asked if she would return to the game show if given the chance, Deborah very quickly replied yes.
“It’s just a really good experience,” said Deborah. “They make you feel like you belong.”
