The Owens are working diligently to answer calls for individuals who want to have a deeper relationship with God, who want to know what their spiritual gifts are or want to make requests for private sessions for direction and healing.

“We (have) been in ministry for over 20 years,” said the sister duo in a statement. “We realize that Santa Clarita is in need of healing, and we are more than happy to answer the calling from our Father.”

Not only do they service the Santa Clarita Valley through a ministry called “The Gathering,” but the Owens are also spiritual advisors for several actors in the industry, the duo stated.

Most of their services are free of charge, the only at cost service is one-on-one prayer services, said Tlona.

“Two of the actors we have prayed with are Shawn Harrison, who played Waldo on ‘Family Matters,’” Tlona said. “The other actress we prayed with was Vicky Jeudy, known for acting on ‘Orange is The New Black.’”

“Our goal is to teach the Word of God with relevance and through a 21st Century lens in order to convert lost souls to Christ and to re-ignite believers to get up, go out and make disciples,” the sisters said.

“Our church model is to take the anointing power of God and our church services from region to region without the confines of staying in one church building, which often breeds stagnation,” the duo said. “Our mobile worship services will be called ‘Pop Up Worship.’”

The vision of the pastor duo is “to promote prayer, praise, worship and the Word in a world of darkness. To love people through their pain and to allow them to see their purpose,” according to the sisters. “To escort God’s people into a deeper realm of praise and worship. To coach, motivate and train the Body of Christ on how to persevere and worship despite their feelings or their condition.”

Lastly, the sisters plan to continue to expand and grow “The Harriet Llewellyn Prayer Center,” which was started in April 2016, in an effort to promote the principle pillar of prayer, the Owens said.

“The Harriet Llewellyn Prayer Center was put together in honor of our mother,” Tlona said. “She was a prayer warrior, and we want to be like she was.”

The center has a daily 4 a.m. virtual teleconference call that is nationwide. This is for people who want to call in and ask for prayer, and to hear others’ prayer requests, Tlona said.

“The Harriet Llewellyn Prayer Center is opened 24 hours a day, seven days a week for anyone who needs someone to pray for them,” she said. “We will also go to (you) whenever someone is in need of prayer. If someone in Las Vegas or Rialto was diagnosed with cancer and wanted us to pray for them, we will go.”

The Gathering has worship “Encounter Services” two or three times monthly to introduce and reintroduce people to the power of God, the sisters said.

“Teaching and preaching the word of God and imparting into people a revelation of God’s intense love for us all,” the duo concluded, “we vehemently reinforce the importance of having relationship with God and not just ritualistic religion.”

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
