“There was no water pressure which resulted in issues with the bathrooms and flushing and people being able to wash their hands,” said Dave Caldwell, spokesperson for the William S. Hart Union School District.

Officials confirmed that the school had been without water since approximately 7 a.m. on Jan. 24.

“The decision was made, that in the best interest of the students, they should be sent home. Those in need of bus transportation had buses called for them,” continued Caldwell.

There was no flooding on the school campus as a result of the water main break.

It is unclear at this time whether the water main break will result in classes being canceled for additional days following today.
