Savannah Burrows, the KHTS country showdown winner and local music star, performed in front of thousands of fans at the California Poppy Festival in the Antelope Valley Sunday.

The up and coming country star opened for Chris Lane, a prominent country musician, at the April 22 show. The two artists put on a performance in front of a packed house that emulated the energy and excitement of the Poppy Festival.
Burrows has previously opened for top artists including the Swon Brothers, Wilson Phillips, The Fifth Dimension and The Spinners.
She will be performing again June 30, when she opens for six-time country vocal group of the year Diamond Rio at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center.
