The event is set to host the Silvertone Singers under the direction of John Swinford, according to officials.

The concert’s theme will be “Money,” symbolic of the purpose of the event; to gather funds for the new senior center building.

“Please bring your cash or checkbook to the Silvertones’ final fundraising concert for the new building,” said officials. “Enjoy the music, meet new friends, dance a bit, partake in light refreshments, and perhaps go home with a nice prize, all for one thin Lincoln bill.”

The event is free to the public, but center officials are asking for a suggested donation of $5.

“Of course, no one is turned away for lack of donation, but every dollar collected will be used directly for the new senior center building,” said officials.

Every $5 donation will receive a raffle ticket, with additional donations earning additional tickets to increase the chances of winning. Door prizes will also be awarded after the concert.

During the art exhibit, guests will have the opportunity to experience the art created by SCV Senior Center art students.

The event is set to take place on Thursday, Nov. 29 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the SCV Senior Center dining room located at 22900 Market St. in Newhall.

For more information about the event, contact the center at (661) 259-9444.
