Atlas Hospitality Group Executive Vice President Oliver Shah and Vice President Robert Feist represented the seller.
“The sales process created a significant amount of interest in a property that is in one of the highest demographic markets in Southern California,” said Feist and Shah in a statement released September 17. “In the end, the sale price per room of just over $196,000 per key was a record price for a La Quinta Inn.”
Representing “an institutional investor out of West L.A.,” Feist said the new owner plans to be hands-on.
La Quinta Inn and Suites Santa Clarita recently underwent a significant multi-million dollar renovation to repair and upgrade its 112 rooms, including 28 suites.
Some contributing factors to the high level of interest in the property are destinations such as Six Flags Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor, Valencia Town Center and California Institute of the Arts, according to the company.
The establishment is located at 25201 The Old Road in Stevenson Ranch.

Absolutely shocking that this article failed to mention as a tourist destination the highly esteemed much admired architecturally resplendent six-story Downtown Newhall Parking Structure with its unparalleled views of the Santa Clarita Valley. It’s the talk of the whole town. Sheesh!
And the luxury homeless condominiums being built by the bridge to the homeless organization in Saugus. I wonder if the new hotel owners will direct their overflow business to Drayton suicide railroad site? The hotel could shuttle its clients and the thieves who break into the vehicles parked at the hotel.
