During the search of Calams’ home, investigators obtained two “electronic devices” containing more than 500 sexually explicit photos and videos, said officials.
Calams turned himself in to law enforcement after a search warrant was issued May 10 in the suspect’s Valencia home — one block from Rio Norte Junior High School.

After a tip was received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, sent from the online video communication site, Skype, the IP address was tracked to the Valencia man’s home and reported to local authorities.
“This is a next-level case, it’s about as sick as it gets,” said Lt. Kent Wegener, of the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the local agency responsible for the arrest.
Calams was released on $80,000 bail from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station in June, according to Sheriff’s records.
Following his bail posting, Calams returned to his job the next day at the Canyon Country Kohl’s but has since been let go by the corporation, according to a corporate spokesperson.
Calams is scheduled to return for his preliminary hearing on August 16.
