More than 100 employees of a Valencia business are set to walk to raise money for diabetes and childhood cancer Thursday.

The seventh annual “Brady Walk for Community” is scheduled for Thursday, May 25 at PDC’s Valencia office — the company is raising money Michael Hoefflin Foundation and American Diabetes Association.
“We’re proud of being a part of the Brady Corp., which is committed to giving back to the communities where its businesses operate,” said Robert Case, president of PDC.
The Brady Walk for Community is a yearly employee charity event held by the Brady Corporation, PDC’s parent company, which raises money for charities and gathers food donations for local food banks.
Employees will walk up to five laps to raise money, and Brady Corp. will donate ten dollars per lap walked, said company officials,
PDC provides products and services provide safe and efficient patient care, as well as patron, inmate, and animal identification. PDC’s innovative solutions incorporate automatic identification technologies, including barcode, RFID, and QR code, according to their website.
All monetary donations will be equally split among two local, non-profit organizations: Michael Hoefflin Foundation and American Diabetes Association, said officials.
A food drive will benefit the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry. More than 130 employees are expected to participate in the charity event, according to organizers.
Local businesses have also joined in with additional sponsorship support for the event, including: Old Town Newhall Ice, Hilton Garden Inn, Chick-fil-A, Sunkist, Stonefire Grill, Rattle’s, Trader Joe’s, Sprouts, Lady Di’s Cookies, The Cheesecake Factory and Nothing Bundt Cakes.
