Federal honors will come to one local student. At 5:00 p.m. tonight, local high school students will be displaying their works of art, as part of the Congressional Art competition. The event is hosted by Congressman McKeon’s office, and the artwork will be displayed at The Picture Show on Valencia Blvd.
Guest art judges will pick one winner, who will go on to have their piece of art represent the 25th Congressional district as it is hung in the Capitol Building in Washington DC for one year.
The prestigious honor lasts all year long, as the winning student is flown out to DC to see their artwork unveiled. To read about last year’s winner, Laura Peskay, click here.
