The Grant Workshop is intended for any non-profit leaders, grant writers or community leaders residing in California’s 25th Congressional District expressing an interest in acquiring more information on how to apply for grants using the US Census data.
California’s 25th District represents Simi Valley, Porter Ranch, Santa Clarita, and the Antelope Valley.
“The 25th Congressional District is fortunate to have numerous non-profits and civic organizations that work very hard to provide services to our community, with an increasing caseload and decreasing funds,” said Alissa McCurley, spokeswoman for Congressman McKeon’s office.
” With this workshop, we are hoping to assist these organizations by trying to utilize various federal and private resources to meet their funding needs. The Census Bureau will lead a training on how to utilize the census data and website when applying for and searching for grants. The Annenberg Foundation will also be making a presentation on a special project, specific to LA County,” according to her statement.
The Annenberg Foundation is expected to make a special presentation.
The event is expected to be held in room 258 at the College of the Canyons University Center located at 26455 Rockwell Dr., Santa Clarita, CA 91355.
It is encouraged that attendees bring a fully-charged laptop.
