Construction Progressing On UCLA Film Archive In Valencia

Development is well under way for the UCLA Film Archive and Preservation Center, which saw its roof structure and walls completed in December.

Work on the exterior cladding, roofing, interior build-out, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is also in progress.

UCLA Film Archive and Preservation Center Construction Update: December

The Film Archive and Preservation Center’s first floor and second floor slabs and walls were completed earlier this year.

The roof structure of the Film Archive and Preservation Center has now been completed.

Around Town: UCLA Film Archive and Preservation Center Construction Update

The Film Archive and Preservation Center’s first floor walls and floor slabs were completed in early June. Now the second floor concrete beams and slabs have been completed.

Construction of the second floor walls at the south and east wings have also been completed.

The north and west wing walls are currently in progress.

At the film collection storage area, the floor structure is designed to support a massive 545 lb per sq. ft.
