Contributions Sought For Newhall Library Time Capsule

Santa_Clarita_SealWhat will our community look like 50 years from now?  No one knows for sure but in 50 years, Santa Clarita residents of the future will have a glimpse of local life in 2011.

On Thursday, August 25, a time capsule will be buried at the new Newhall library as part of the “topping out” ceremony, commemorating the completion of the library steel structure.

Community members are encouraged to submit their contributions to the time capsule by Wednesday, August 24. Submitted items should be small-sized, iconic items of interest that have historical significance or represent everyday life in Santa Clarita in 2011.
