Convenience Store Carjacking Leaves Two Shaken

khts_crimeThe last thing you expect when you stop at a convenience mart is to leave without your car.

That’s exactly what happened to two victims at the AM/PM Mini Mart on Pico Canyon Road in Newhall, around 11:30 a.m. today.

According to Sgt. Kevin Blake, three male suspects driving a silver sports-utility vehicle stopped and approached the pair and started a conversation.

Using “fear or actions,” they then took possession of the victims’ Toyota sedan and drove it away. The other suspects got back into the SUV and followed the victim’s car eastbound towards the freeway.

Blake said that the victims were not harmed, but were shaken up by the experience.

Anyone with information regarding this carjacking is asked to call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station at 255-1121.
