Convenience Store Shooting Suspect Still At Large

Victim shot as he left store in Canyon Country. 

 

One man was shot during an altercation at a local convenience store shortly early Wednesday morning. The victim, a 28-year male Hispanic, was shot in the torso by a suspect described as at 38-year old Hispanic man, 5’6,” 190,  who left the scene in an unknown vehicle.

 

 

According to Sgt. Ron Price of the Santa Clarita Valley station, the two men argued briefly in the 7-Eleven Store near the corner of Soledad Canyon Road and Sierra Highway before the suspect left the store, purportedly to go to his car. As the victim left the store with a friend, the suspect shot him and fled the scene.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the sheriff’s department at 255-1121.
