County Declares Sept. 11 ‘Patriot’s Day’; Flags To Be Lowered

county_sealLOS ANGELES COUNTY — To pay tribute to the firefighters, police officers, emergency personnel and thousands of other innocent victims who died on Sept. 11, 2001 and to salute our armed forces around the world fighting the war on terror, Los Angeles County has officially declared Sept. 11 as “Patriot’s Day.”

County Mayor Michael D. Antonovich has ordered that all flags be lowered to half-staff on all county buildings today.
