The Board of Supervisors approved production of the 51st Annual Los Angeles County Holiday Celebration Program at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on Christmas Eve, announced Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich .

Since 1959, Los Angeles County families have made the Holiday Celebration a Christmastime tradition — both in person and on television.  The show is broadcast live on PBS station KCET on Friday, December 24, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

This year’s celebration will feature 22 groups and over 600 performers.  Nearly half of the entertainers featured are youth groups.  For the first time, a JumboTron will be placed on the Music Center Plaza so that those unable to be seated in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion will be able to see the show.
