Search warrant results in multiple arrests.
Personnel from the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department's Narcotics Bureau, the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station's Career Offenders Burglary Robbery Apprehension Team (COBRA) and the Los Angeles County Department of Probation served a search warrant in the 19300 block of Cedarcreek Street on Thursday.
Deputies report that they arrested two adults on child endangerment related charges and two others on drug related charges after finding four children, ages 2, 9, 12, and 16, living in dangerous unsanitary conditions at the location.
The children were taken into protective custody and are doing fine. The residence was Red Tagged by Building and Safety Inspectors after it was determined to be uninhabitable.
The parents, MW/48 and FW/42, were booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station on felony Child Endangerment charges.
They are each being held in lieu of $100,000 bail. The other two adult occupants were also arrested and booked. One of he suspect's, MW/22, faces a felony charge of being a Convicted Felon in Possession of Ammunition – misdemeanor charges of being Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana. He was also on probation and is being held without bail.
The other suspect, FW/18, faces a misdemeanor charge of being Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance. She was later released on citation pending future court proceedings.
