Awards commend promotion of event
The City of Santa Clarita’s Cowboy Festival received two Pinnacle awards for promotional materials used during the 2007 festival from the prestigious International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) /Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards Ceremony held at the IFEA’s 52nd Annual Convention & Expo. The awards were presented at the organization’s awards ceremony, September19, 2007 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The 2007 Cowboy Festival promotional poster won a Gold Award for the Best Commemorative Poster and the brochure won a Silver Award for the Best Promotional Brochure with four colors of more.

Cowboy Festival continues to get bigger and better each year and as the City prepares for its 15th Festival, we look forward to welcoming back all the western performers and activities that make it a success every year,” commented Mayor Marsha McLean.
Sponsored by industry leader Haas & Wilkerson Insurance, the professional competition drew 1,506 entries this year from among the world’s top festivals and events. Entries included posters, merchandise, websites, print and broadcast ads, volunteer programs, community outreach programs, and many other categories.
