A 28-year old man from Palmdale was identified as the victim of a solo vehicle crash Saturday morning.

Mark Anthony Reyes was driving a 2000 Honda Civic westbound on Soledad Canyon Road shortly before 6 a.m. Saturday morning when he lost control of the vehicle, hit the north curb line and struck a power pole.

Reyes was pronounced dead at the scene by the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The accident occurred on Soledad Canyon Road just west of Gladding Way. Two lanes of Saturday morning traffic were closed for the investigation, which took several hours.
