Kyle Costa, 21, and Kyle Porter, 18, of Santa Clarita, were arrested after Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies received reports of two dirtbike riders tearing up the greens and turf on the course.

The incident is expected to result in felony charges, because the pair caused several thousand dollars in damage

The two allegedly began riding in the wash in Valencia near the course, and then somehow made their way onto the greens.

The preliminary estimate for damage was approximately $3,000, according to Sheriff’s Station reports, although that figure could still rise.

Porter is due in court Friday and being held in lieu of $20,000 bail at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Costa posted $20,000 bail at 3:45 a.m. Thursday morning, according to Sheriff’s Department logs.

A call to Valencia Country Club for a comment was not immediately returned.

The club was recently sold as part of a $320 million, 48-property deal.
